Tri-lingual household

by Mahalia
(Fort Lauderdale, FL)

My daughter only spoke French and Swedish until she was about two years old. Then she caught on that everyone around her didn't, so she started to phase more English in her vocabulary. I only spoke French at home (because of background), but I never attended a French school. What I like about Beth Manners Cd's (I am about to order the 2nd one) is that it incorporates both languages simultaneously (du gateau, cake) as opposed to all French Cd's that ramble letters, numbers, short stories or songs. My daughter will repeat the songs, or pick out a word in a story but then she asks me what it means.

Keep Speaking French to Your Daughter NEW
by: Beth Manners

HI Mahalia,
Even though your daughter is now discovering English, keep speaking French and encourage her to respond in French. One day she will be so glad you continued.
Bonne Chance!
